Tycoon Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tycoon handles information.

Overview

Tycoon is a property-trading board game. You can play against computer opponents on your device or play online with friends. Tycoon does not require an account, email address, phone number, or password. The only personal detail you can enter is a display name, which you choose and can change at any time.

Information Stored on Your Device

Tycoon stores your current game against the computer (board, money, properties, and turn) so you can continue later, your display name, your record of games played and won, and a note of when you were last asked to rate the app. This information stays on your device and is used only to run the game and remember your progress.

Online Multiplayer

Online play uses Google Firebase. When you open Play Online, the app signs you in anonymously with Firebase Authentication, which gives your device a random identifier. No name, email, or other contact detail is attached to it.

When you host or join a game, a game room is stored in Google Cloud Firestore. A room contains its five-character game code, the display names of the players at the table, the anonymous identifiers of the people in the room, the state of the game (board, money, properties, and moves), and timestamps. Everyone in the room can see the display names and the game. Rooms are deleted when the host closes the waiting room, and we aim to remove inactive rooms after 7 days. Firebase may also process technical information such as your IP address to provide the service. Google's handling of this information is described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Advertising Partners

Tycoon is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob: a banner at the bottom of the screen, and a full-screen ad when a game ends or when you leave a game.

To show ads, Google may receive ad performance and interaction data, approximate location derived from your IP address, device information, and diagnostic information, in order to select ads, measure their performance, and prevent fraud. On Android, this can include your device's advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device settings. On iOS, Tycoon does not ask for permission to track you across apps and websites, so your advertising identifier is not shared and ads are not personalized using it. Google's handling of that information is governed by its own policies, at policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your choices. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region where consent is required, Tycoon asks for your consent through Google's consent form before ads are requested, and you can change your choice at any time from the Support screen under "Ad privacy choices". If consent is not given, the game still works. You can also use Google's ad controls at myadcenter.google.com.

Ratings

After you finish some games, Tycoon may ask Apple or Google to show their standard rating prompt. Ratings and reviews are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play; we do not receive any personal information from them.

Analytics

Tycoon does not include an analytics SDK. We do not track how you use the app beyond what the advertising and online services described above need to work.

Support

If you contact support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as a description of a problem, screenshots, your app version, and device model. We use support information only to respond to you, investigate issues, improve the app, and handle legal or privacy requests.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with the service providers described above (Google Firebase and Google AdMob) so the app can work. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to enforce our terms.

Children

Tycoon is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it.

Your Choices and Controls

You can change your display name at any time on the home screen. You can delete the information stored on your device by removing the app. You can change ad consent choices from the Support screen where they apply, and manage your advertising ID in your device settings. To ask about or request deletion of online game data or support messages, email magirachip5@gmail.com.

Retention and Security

Information on your device remains until you delete the app. Online game rooms are kept only while they are needed for play, as described above. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, operational, legal, or security purposes. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no app, device, network, or online service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy when Tycoon, the services it uses, platform requirements, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be available on this page.
